  • McNeil Scout Ranch Campout

Some of the activities we did during the campout included, digging a hole, exploring crevices, playing basketball, nearly getting trampled by deer, working on rank requirements, and eating Nutella. During the campout we took a short hike to some crevices where we played hide and seek and since there were many holes we nearly got lost. When we came back, the new scouts worked to earn their totin’ chips and earned scout rank. When the younger scouts finished, we found a huge 6 foot by 6 foot hole and spent nearly 4 hours there while the adults wondered how we sat in a hole for that long. The second night, One of the Adult Leaders played the harmonica and we were up for nearly an Hour trying to hunt down the mysterious ghost who played the harmonica. The funnest part of the campout happened on the last day when we made 36 waffles with Nutella which was probably the best part.
